Eric and I went to the Renaissance Festival this weekend. Lots of yummy food (apple dumpling, hot cross spuds, onion rings, Rootbeer float, and Eric got a Scotch Egg), lots of cool swag(Marshmallow Catapult, Two hats, wood frog that is an intrument that makes a frog noise, silver ring, and Eric got some artwork), saw several acts. And as a bonuse, they were filming a major motion picture, of which I got to see a few takes. I saw Mathew Lillard doing a scene, and I was about 4 feet away from him when I realized who he was. My first thought was, I'm almost as tall as him, cool. My second thought was, wow, it's wierd seeing famous people in real life, because they seem so normal. We stood behind the monitors during the take, and it was really nifty to see the scene being filmed. The movie is called "All's Faire in Love", so I will be watching out for it. Though, I looked it up on imdb.com, and it is directed by the guy who directed Blonde Ambition, Jessica Simpson's direct to video movie. So I'm not holding out too much hope on quality.

Top Ten Movie Villians

As assigned by cherydactyl, my top ten list of Movie Villians. This was hard. Sorry, this list is limited to what I have seen (which is a lot, just missing a lot too) and what I can remember about movies. If I can't remember anything about the villian, I must not think they are very evil. Also, not a lot of drama's and Indie films have villians, types of movies which I watch a lot of).

10. Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Several Bond Movies) - He was like the energizer battery, he just kept going and going and going. Bond has never had such a long lasting adversary. Not to mention, Blofeld killed Mrs. Bond. He even got parodied by Mike Myers.

9. Hans Gruber (Die Hard) - Shout out to E's family's favorite movie. Alan Rickman always rocks. (Dude, it's Snape, but younger and an even wierder accent!)

8. Tyler Durden (Fight Club) - How badass is it that villian is the protagonist! Rock, Rock On! (plus cool rolling boulder action)

7. Scar (Lion King) - I know, Disney?, right? But Scar knows psychological warfare, man. And he can sing. And check out the Nazi hyenas he commands.

6. Count Tyrone Rugen, aka the Six Fingered man (The Princess Bride) - A. he has 6 fingers, B. His research into suction created a machine powered by a waterwheel that sucks the life out of a person, C. He killed Inigo Montoya's father

5. Vizzini ( The Princess Bride) - "You only think I guessed wrong! That's what's so funny! I switched glasses when your back was turned! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha..."

4. Agent Smith (The Matrix) - Obvious, but so needed. From the way he talks, to the way he walks. Plus, the Desert Eagle is his weapon of choice. "You hear that Mr. Anderson?... That is the sound of inevitability..."

3. Palpatine (Star Wars Movies) - He bamboozled an entire galaxy into giving him power. Silly Republic, I mean Empire...

2. Sauron (LOTR) - We never see him, but that is what makes him so cool.

1. Sandford Neighborhood Watch Alliance (Hot Fuzz) - The NWA is so obsessed with keeping Sandford's "Village of the Year" title, they will kill anyone that might screw it up. When Nicholas Angel finds them out, they have a shootout in the middle of the village on inspection day, pulling massive guns from nowhere. Bonus, Timothy Dalton as the Supermarket owner and one of the NWA's leaders.

First time I've ever had a lab coat made for me, in the correct size no less. I usually end up wearing one 3x's too big, because the only other option is 2 sizes too small. I now wear my lab coat all the time, rather than avoiding it like the plague. Also, I no longer get leather 'shrapnel' all over my clothes, the lab coat gets it all.

The cold hit me this year like a cold sturgeon being swung at me. I slept horribly all weekend, and spent my waking hours half asleep. Add having to drive around to find a Pharmacy to buy psuedophedrine (read: Waterford Target does not have a pharmacy, those bastards) and you have one tired Kendra. However, the cold was condusive to my weekend plans, catching up on missed TV episodes (like Heroes, yea Christopher Eccleston!), watching movies and playing video games.
I watched "From Russia with Love" last Sunday. I thought this movie was excellent. Especially after watching Liscence to Kill the day before (this was a mess of a movie in my opinion, Bond and the 80's did not mix well, though I don't blame Timothy Dalton). Of the 6 (official) Sean Connery movies I had only seen 2.5 of them (fell asleep during Diamonds are Forever, but I understand a lot more about Blofield now, so I probaly wouldn't fall asleep the next time I watch it). I haved like pretty much all the actors as Bond, though each one did it differently.

I'm starting to catch up, I have seen 15 of the 21 films.
Two weeks ago, I decided to finally hook up my xbox360 to xbox live so I could get software updates and demos. Didn't have an ethernet cord long enough to reach the router, so I unhooked the router from my computer and brought it closer to the xbox360.

Had to change my gamertag profile name because fire was already taken (it is now firesprite). I'm finishing signing up, and it tells me I can't finish right now, the service is unavailable, try again later. At this point I had spent an hour setting up and going through all the motions. I wasn't going to try again later. So genious me, I tried again, and chose to 'recover' my gamertag profile from online. It seemed like the right thing to do at the time.

Well whatever I did, it royally screwed things up. All my achievements were erased. Not that big of a deal. My saved games are still there, and they all say they belong to the firesprite gamertag. I can still play all my saved games (all that I have tried so far anyways) with one exception. Superman Returns. I can load my saved game (50% done) but I can't save that game because "Save Failed: you cannot save a game loaded from another user's profile". So I can play my game, but can't save any further progress because of whatever I screwed up with xbox live.

I started a new game, and it lets me save that, but I still have to replay 50% of the game (which was already starting to get a little boring). Either that, or I have to gung-ho the rest of the game in one afternoon, which could be done if I was a better player.

I got everything in the shaker started shaking it, and decided it wouldn't be hard to multitask whilst shaking. So I took the shaker and a martini glass over to my couch ( I was watching Grey's Anatomy). Just as I'm about to stop shaking it, my hand slipped and the top flew off of the shaker, and all the contents onto the couch, myself, the coffe table, and the carpet. Boy did I feel stupid.

The irony is that I really could have used that drink after cleaning everthing up because of how mad I was at myself.

The lesson we should all learn from this: Cocktail shakers and couches should not mix. Not that many people read this, but you know, whatever...

1st off, my niece stayed overnight 3 weeks ago. We had a pretty good time, took her out to dinner, watched 'Cars', took her to the mall for the play structure, made pancakes, etc. Unfortunatley, she was starting to get sick when she was getting picked up. Oh well, but she is fine now.

Went to see Monty Python's 'SPAMALOT' (it is a musical based on MP's Holy Grail for those who don't know) the friday before Christmas. (They even had coconut souvineers for sale, so you could ride your own horse.)

Christmas gift from Steve was all 4 Bond Ultimate Collection DVD sets. YEA BOND!!! I got him Brandy Sniffers in my crystal pattern, some clothes, and a bottle of Scotch. I also paid for the Spamalot tickets, so that half counted.

Bummed about Michigans Loss at the Rose Bowl. Seriously, it was like they didn't even show up to the game.

The next day sucked, because I got sick. Won't go into details... Had to call off work the next day (1st day I was supposed to be back since before Christmas) and have spent the rest of this week fairly tired from being ill (and slightly out of it).

I finished my christmas shopping this weekend. I was going to wrap everything on Saturday night, but went over to my sister's instead.

I had a slew of problems with my car this weekend. First my windshield cracked, and will be $260 to replace, which I have to wait till next Saturday to do, because I don't have time during the week. Also, my engine light came on while driving around on Saturday. Luckily, it turned itself off at the end of the day. I was panicking about how I was gonna find time to go to the dealer to get it fixed, but that is no longer an issue.

Cool thing: I'm going to see Monty Python's Spamalot on December 22nd. I found out it was in town, and decided to splurge on tickets. It was a boatload of money, but my boyfriend and I are going to have a really cool night out, and will probably draw much jealousy from my sisters and friends.

I've got a lot of tasks this week at work that I have to juggle in order to get everything finished by Friday. I'm sure I will get it all done, but I will have a large stack of paperwork, and a messy lab and office by the end of the week.

Well, my lunch hour is just about up, so I should be productive and get back to work.
